While Tennessee public schools are facing attacks on many fronts - ranging from Rep. Sexton's proposal to reject almost $2B in federal funding to extremists overtaking our school board meetings - we at SOCM believe that extraordinary change is rooted in the power of ordinary people. Join public school parents, educators, and community members across the state on October 30th to learn about the purpose of school boards, how to be an effective observer at your local school board meetings, how to form a Public School Strong team in your county, and how you can become active in November in this growing movement to transform and protect public education in TN. Public School Strong TN is a project of SOCM, HEAL Together, and Tennessee for All.
