Your Executive Committee
The Executive Committee are the group of people that represent the interests of Democrats in the county and make decisions on how the party runs. There are five officers, ten district representatives, and two ex-officio positions.
The McMinn County Democratic Party Bylaws are the governing document of the party and lay out the specific duties of the Executive Committee. At its core, all EC members “are responsible to take an active role in growth and outreach strategies aimed at aiding in the election of Democrats. These efforts are directed through committee work and organizing activities in their districts.”
Party Officers
The officers of the party hold responsibility for leading on the vision of the party and the day-to-day running of the party. The McMinn County Executive Committee has five officer positions: Chair, First Vice-Chair, Second Vice-Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer.
District Representatives
District Representatives are dedicated to the grassroots growth needed for a strong party. District Representatives are working toward growing a presence in one of our five districts in McMinn County. Each district has two representatives, with a goal toward gender parity. Gender fluid and non-binary members are encouraged as well.
